Barberry Court

I had looked at last year's reviews after my friend booked the stay and I was concerned. I don't know if they fixed it up or the older review were true, but our room is super cute, clean, AC available, well lit at night. The pool salt water(cold at first) and clean. Trolley runs every ½hour to take you to the village. Pizza place next door. Staff very nice and available if needed.

I really liked this place, better than the last place I stayed out. I think the beds are pretty comfy. The ac gets nice an cold, there’s a microwave in the room, and they have a community kitchen which I think is pretty cool. The only thing is the water pressure in the shower is extremely strong and It hurt to shower but other than that everything was nice !! Definitely would stay again

The hotel was very nice. Had a kitchenette in our room three big beds. Very spacious. The salt water pool was nice too. There is a trolley that runs up and down the road until 10 pm or so, only $1 per person to ride. A lot of good food places to eat at. Kid friendly too.

I came across this site for Barberry Court out of sheer nostalgia. We had stayed here every year from 1990 until 2001. We would drive from CT and couldn't wait to arrive. During those years, the owner's name was Tony. He and his wife were a delightful couple. Our rooms were always clean and comfortable. We enjoyed riding to the Village on the trolley. The only reason we stopped going is that we moved to AZ for my husband's retirement. I find it so sad to read the recent reviews as it seems there hasn't been a great effort to keep this place up to the standard we knew those many years ago. I don’t come to Lake George expecting an ultra modern hotel/motel experience. Lol We come here to enjoy all the corny fun family time with our kids. This motel is clean has a pool you can BBQ and the owner is extremely nice and accommodating! The room maybe stuck in 1995, but it’s a clean room for a great price! I will definitely come back and stay here again, we loved it! On a side note you are a walk away from the main town area and restaurants. You can also take the fairy if you’re feeling lazy! If you have kids want to chill out this is the place! All my kids cared about was the pool! It is warm!

I needed to cancel a reservation last min even though I should’ve been charged the entire nights stay-the gentleman I spoke with (although we didn’t see eye to eye at first.) did cancel it and for that I’m appreciative. So thank you very much.

The room was clean and nicely maintained. Management definitely wants their customers to be happy. We had a lot of fun in the saltwater pool. My husband and I came here last year. This year we brought two friends with us and they enjoyed the stay as well. We are trying to plan another visit later on in the year. We will definitely be staying at the Barberry Court Motel.

Bang for your buck. The owners are wonderful, and explained they just took over a year ago. They are doing great. Rooms were clean, as we had a family suite. They also have the only saltwater pool in Lake George, and it feels wonderful to go in! On site grills allow you to cook on site, and save on dining out. You can walk to Lake George Village from the motel, and sidewalks are accessible the whole way. Very family friendly, and low key.
